I was not actually trying to paint Dustin Hoffman as Tootsie, but as I worked and re-worked this face, it kept feeling masculine instead of feminine. I still haven't decided what I think, or whether this will remain as is, but for now it exists and I moved on to something new. What is it that makes women's delicate features so much more difficult to reproduce than a man's roughness?
