Portrait of Hemingway
The funny thing of this picture is that when I finished, it reminded me of Stacy Keach. Then I noticed after having this thought that the audio book of Hemingway's short stories (which I was basing the portrait on) was read by Mr. Keach and if made me wonder if maybe he read the audio book because he liked Hemingway based on the fact that he resembled the man. It was a funny thought.

The Empty Copper Cell
The Empty Copper Cell
Metallic portrait on cell phone
This is my second painting of a man's face on a cell phone. It crossed my mind to send out an appeal to have people send me their own "retired" cell phones and make art out of them as well.
The name of this piece is taken from the title of a book by John D. McDonald, a prolific author of whom my dad was an avid reader.
