Portrait of Leon Trotsky
When I was in school I did a report on Trotsky
because I liked his first name. I was very young
because I liked his first name. I was very young
and it didn't mean anything to me that he was
founder of the Red Army.

Bueno Americano
Picture of the Day
Bueno Americano
Acrylic on masonite, 24"x 36"
This was painted for my father-in-law's 90th birthday last year. It is a painting of him as a youth based on a photo taklen while he was serving in Italy during WWII. I loved the feeling and results of painting on masonite so much that I have been painting on that surface quite frequently ever since.
